As per the revised Karnataka Board exam passing criteria 2026, the overall passing aggregate has been lowered to 33%, down from 35%. Meanwhile, the subject-wise passing minimum for the written exam component has also been reduced to 30%. Hence, students have to score 24 marks out of 80 for non-practical subjects, and 21 marks out of 70 for science subjects like Physics and Chemistry.

Karnataka Government introduced new Karnataka 2nd PUC Exams 2023 revaluation criteria. Candidates can apply for 2nd PUC Results revaluation, even if it they have scored just one mark in their Pre-University exams, according to the announcement made by state Education Minister BC Nagesh. According to the new amendment, students can apply for revaluation even if their score is below 6 percent. Those who are unsatisfied with the marks obtained in Karnataka 2nd PUC result can apply for re-evaluation of the answer sheets through the official website of the state board after the Karnataka PUC Result declaration. For the same, students have to pay the application fees of INR 1,670 per subject to get answer scripts re-evaluated.
Regular students can apply through respective schools whereas private students can fill Karnataka 2nd PUC application form online through the official website.
In Karnataka 2nd PUC Board exam, the total marks is 600. Students can easily clear the second PUC exam with proper preparation and thorough learning. Students have to appear for the theory and practical exam. Theory exam is for a total 70 marks. 30 marks is allotted for practical exam. There is no negative marking in Karnataka PUC exam.
