Yes, XAT is required for MBA at T. A. Pai Management Institute (TAPMI). TAPMI Manipal admission to the MBA courses is based on valid CAT/XAT scores. Candidates must apply online for XAT 2024 till Nov 30, 2023. No log in credentials will be required to check the GCET/Goa BE admission result/merit list. Since the authorities will release the result/merit list as PDFs online at the official website, the candidates will not be required to log in to access it. The merit ranks allotted to the candidates based on their JEE Main scores/ranks will be available through the GCET/Goa BE admission result/merit list. Based on the result/merit list, the candidates will be allotted into the BE courses offered by the participating institutes of the state.

Yes. DTE Goa has announced that the state will not conduct Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET). Instead the authorities will accept applications for the counselling and admission process based on the candidate's scores and ranks obtained in JEE Main. However, the candidates will be required to meet the basic eligibility criteria that will be prescribed by the DTE Goa authorities. All candidates will have to attempt one or both sessions of JEE Main to be eligible for GCET/Goa BE admissions.

If two or more candidates secure same merit rank in GCET/Goa BE admission, then authorities will follow a tie breaking method. Students will be ranked according to their marks in each section of paper. Final tie breaking guideline is age.
