To get admission into National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Imphal candidate need to fulfill the eligibility criteria. The entrance exam is not yet disclosed by the institute, the admission is based on merit.

For MCA: Candidates need to have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised university with Mathematics/ Computer Science/Statistics as one of the subjects at 10+2 level or graduation with mentioned marks. or (ii) BCA or BSc in IT / Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics/ Electronics Physics / or any relevant Computer related recognised subject as one of the subject with mentioned marks. Candidates belonging to reserve category must have scored 45%.

For UG Diploma: Candidate must have passed 10+2 in any stream from a recognised board.

The AFCAT (Air Force Common Admission Test) Exam is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice in a year for the recruitment of candidates in Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.

IAF also recruits candidates for the grant of PC/SSC for NCC Special Entry Scheme (Flying Branch) and for Meteorological Entry. It is one of the most coveted jobs in Indian Air Force and a dream job for millions of aspirants across India.
AFCAT Exam consists of three stages: Written Examination, AFSB and Interview round.

The ATMA exam is conducted by the Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS). AIMS is a networking body of B-schools in India for the professional development of management education. This networking body is the official representative of Indian Management Schools in India as well as in some important international forums. Many top institutes such as IIMs, ISB, ASCI, Xavier Institutions, Welingkar Institute of Management (WeSchool), NMIMS, ICFAI, MDI, SP Jain, and many other management departments of various Universities are the members of AIMS. AIMS also have tie ups with international bodies such as Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA), European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). Usually, the ATMA exam is conducted in computer-based test mode in more than 100 test cities. The exam is accepted by over 600 B-Schools across India, and the scores obtained in the ATMA exam are considered for admission to MBA and MCA courses offered by these institutes.

The selection process for B.Tech at GNIT IPU is based on the merit/rank in the JEE Main exam. Candidates with JEE Main scores will be given preference for admissions, and vacant seats will be offered to students based on their class 12 marks. Additionally, candidates must have passed the 12th class with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, provided they have passed in each subject separately. All applicants are required to appear in Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main Paper 1 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The GGS IP University does not conduct its own CET for admissions but utilizes the merit of JEE Main Paper 1 for its admissions.
