No, B tech Graduates are not eligible for the UGC NET Exam. Eligibility Criteria: Students who have secured at least 55 percent marks in a Master's Degree or equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities and Social Science, Computer Science, Applications, Electronic Science, etc. Are eligible for the NET exam. No, not at all. But, there is another catch. Adding Mathematics is not a prerequisite in calculating the best of 4, however, you must have studied the subject in 12. Best of 4 must include a language i.e. English and three other high scoring subjects. Additional information You mentioned you are opting B.A. Eco Hons, so if you do not add Economics as a subject in your best of 4, you attract a penalty of 2300 from your overall BO4.
