A candidate placed in the compartment category at the Senior School Certificate Examination (12th CBSE) may reappear at the compartmental examination to be held in the same year. He/she may also avail a Second Chance in March/April, and Third Chance in July of next year. So you are eligible to appear in compartment exam again.

The Union Public Service Commission has set a minimum level of education qualification that a candidate must possess to be eligible for CDS examination. The minimum qualification required to appear for CDS exam is Graduation/Bachelors from a Government recognised university. The detailed CDS education qualification required is highlighted below:
1. Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA): Bachelors Degree From a recognised university.
2. Indian Naval Academy (INA): Bachelors in Engineering from a recognised University.
3. Air Force Academy (AFA): Graduation (with Physics and Mathematics at Class 12) or Bachelor
