As per the last year of trends in consideration, your JEE Main All India category rank should be below 3482 for getting admission in NIT Calicut in B.Tech CSE. So you have to score above 99.5 percentile in JEE Main.

Hello, it's actually a shakespearean dilemma! To be or not to be! Taking a gap of one year for preparation of entrance examination or not taking it. Both have prose and cons. I personally feel that it's not great even if you loose one year, but it can make difference if you study well and achieve outstanding results as a result of this gap. But I leave the choice to you. Hello Gourav Yadav, it's actually very tough to predict the percentile since for calculating this one needs to know the total number of students who appeared for the examination along with their marks and also the highest and the lowest marks scored by students in this examination. This will be known only to National testing agency.
