Executive MBA

1. Part-time MBA programs as mentioned are the MBA programs that are open for any professional with some years of professional experience and can be studied besides the job. The structure can be modular, that is students learn individually and come together every five or six weeks or two months to meet for a week together with professors so-called residential periods of face-to-face sessions. The structure can also be weekly when students have to come on the campus on a weekly or bi-weekly base. This allows to complete the MBA over two or three years and again the target group is all professionals, independent if they have leadership experience or not.
2. Executive MBA programs (EMBA) this programme type is also an MBA and hence covers the same core courses as a full-time MBA or part-time MBA. It is also a part-time MBA as it can be studied besides the job. However, EMBA programs require some years of leadership experience because of that, EMBA students are often older than full-time MBA students, more experienced and network-oriented.

MBA (EMBA) is an intensive one-year residential or distance learning or combination of residential and distance learning programme created specifically for professionals with 5 years or more work experience. EMBA provides students with the same solid foundation in key management concepts and disciplines as a two-year full-time MBA. Executive MBA course work is built on the basis of those students who have diverse and extensive work experience by virtue of which they will able to related to management theories and concepts. Candidate selection is based on assessment based on following criteria: (a) Academic background (b) Professional experience (c) GMAT score (d) Personal interviews (e) Statement of Purpose (f) Recommendation
An overall assessment is made on the basis of all these factors for selecting candidates for admission. B-schools are very selective with respect to selection of candidates for full-time one year EMBA programme.
