There are over 1,350 best Fashion Design colleges in India. Of these, 700+ are private colleges, 200+ are government-owned colleges and 90+ are semi-government colleges. Top colleges are NIFT Delhi, NID Ahmedabad, NID Gandhinagar, etc.

BSc Fashion Design is a UG course. It teaches skills to create original designs for clothing, footwear, jewellery and more. It covers both theoretical and practical aspects of fashion design. It prepares for careers in the fashion industry.

The admission standards for B.Voc in Fashion Design and Garment Technology in AMU have been changing for the past three years by categories. For the general category, the cutoff has been raised progressively from 45-50 in 2020-2021 to 50-55 in 2021-2022 and from 55-60 in 2022-2023 session. Like that for reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC and EWS the cutoff marks for the academic years 2020-2021 were between 35-40%, for the year 2021-2022 were between 40-45% and now for the year 2022-2023 the cutoff marks range between 45-50%.
