UID DAT 2024: The Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) is currently accepting UID DAT 2024 applications for the NRI/NRI Spons./ Management Category.
However, applications are closed for the General category.
The UID DAT application form is for admission to the B.Design (Hons), B.Design (Hons) Global Design Program, and M.Design courses offered by UID.
To apply for UID DAT 2024, the candidate will have to register, fill in all relevant information, upload documents, and pay the application fees.
It is recommended that candidates ensure their eligibility criteria before filling out the form.
The UID DAT 2024 is a TWO-tier entrance exam.
Tier 1 of the UID DAT 2024 exam was conducted on January 7, 2024. The exam was administered in online mode and carry 100 marks. Meanwhile, Tier 2 included a Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE), and was conducted at UID Campus based on the preference given by the candidate in the UID application form 2024.

What is UID Design Aptitude Test?
Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) conducts UID Design Aptitude Test for admission to design courses offered at the following campuses - UID Ahmedabad Campus and UID NCR Campus.
B.Des (Hons), M.Des, and Ph.D. courses are offered at the UID Ahmedabad Campus, whereas the UID NCR campus offers a B.Des (Hons) course.
Admission to UID is a two-tier process.
The candidates first appear for UID DAT (Design Aptitude Test). Shortlisted candidates next have to appear in a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation round.

UID DAT 2024 Application Form
The application form for UID DAT 2024 is now open for the General Category. The application form for NRI/NRI Sponsored / Management candidates opened in January 2024.
To fill out the UID DAT 2024 application form, follow these steps.
- Register: Register on the official website of the exam using details such as their full name, email ID, and mobile number.
- Fill out the application form: In the application, fill in personal details, communication addresses, and parents' information.
- Upload documents: Upload the scanned photo in JPG/JPEG/PNG/GIF format; the size should be less than 1 MB.
- Pay the application fee: The application fee is INR 2000 (NRI/NRI Spons. / Mgmt. candidates need to pay INR 3000). The available payment options are Cards (Credit/Debit), Net Banking, Wallet, Paytm, and UID.
UID Design Aptitude Test Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for UID Aptitude Test 2024 are different for UG and PG design courses. Candidates can go through the eligibility criteria in the table below.

UID Admission Process
Aspirants need to clear UID Aptitude Test 2024 in order to secure admissions in design programmes offered at the Unitedworld Institute of Design.
Step 1: Fill UID Aptitude Test Application Form
Candidates can fill out the UID Design Aptitude Test application form in online mode on the official website of the exam. The application form for the UID entrance exam should be supported by all relevant documents that are mentioned in the UID brochure.
Step 2: Download UID Aptitude Test Admit Card
Aspirants need to download the UID Aptitude Test 2024 admit card from the official website of UID. Candidates need to carry their UID exam ticket with them for the Design Aptitude Test. Further, they also need to show the exam ticket issued by the college to the exam supervisor. If any candidate does not have the UID entrance exam admit card he/she might not be allowed to take the entrance exam.
Step 3: Give UID Aptitude Test
UID Aptitude Test 2024 for BDesign and MDesign is a 2 tier test. The first tier is the design aptitude test (DAT) and the end tier is the Situation Test & Portfolio Evaluation. This design aptitude test comprises both multiple-choice questions and descriptive questions.
Students who have qualified UCEED, NID, NIFT entrance exams for B.Des and M.Des degree programmes are eligible for direct portfolio.
Step 4: Appear for Studio Test & Portfolio Evaluation
Candidates who clear the UID Aptitude Test are then shortlisted to appear for the situation test and portfolio evaluation round which is conducted at the Ahmedabad campus of Unitedworld Institute of Design. Here, candidates are evaluated on the basis of how well they are able to handle and create end-products using different materials.
Step 6: Check Result
Next, candidates need to check the result for UID Aptitude Test 2024 on the official website of the design school.
Admission to other popular institutes based on UID DAT 2024 scores
The World University of Design (WUD) will consider scores of UID DAT 2024 for admission to their design courses. So, once the UID DAT results are announced, the candidate may apply to the institute.
