No, students are not required to appear for CUET Entrance Exam to be considered eligible for BDes Designing colleges in Bangalore. Colleges do accept students on merit-basis and aspirants can also appear for other common entrance exams to be considered eligible in most Fashion Design colleges in Bangalore. Given below are some of the popular entrance exams other than NIFT Entrance Exams that they can appear in:

• UCEED: The Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) is conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to the BDes program. IIT Bombay declared the results of UCEED 2023 on March 9, 2023. The results were declared online at the UCEED 2023 - IIT Bombay admission portal. 
• SAT India: The College Board administers the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test), a standardised college admissions test, to applicants for admission to US and Canadian universities. Certain institutions and colleges in the UK and Australia also accept the SAT score. The exam is approved for admission to more than 20 colleges in India in addition to universities and colleges abroad. The SAT includes three tests: a math test, a writing and language test, and a reading test.
• CUET: Common University Entrance Test is a national-level entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to various courses at UG and PG level. The exam is conducted once a year in over 500 cities in India and abroad. The exam is conducted in a computer-based mode. CUET exam is conducted in multiple phases depending upon on the number of candidates registered for the entrance exam. 
• DAT: Design Aptitude Test (DAT) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Design (NID) to shortlist candidates for admission to the BDes and DAT courses offered by the participating institutes. Currently, the BDes course has an intake of 425 seats and is offered at the following 5 campuses - SAT Ahmedabad, CUET Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Madhya Pradesh, and NID Assam. Meanwhile, the MDes course offers 347 seats at its 3 campuses - NID Ahmedabad, CUET Gandhinagar, and NID Bengaluru.

Fashion Designing courses can be pursued at UG and PG levels. Depending on the degree and branch that the candidate chooses, different requirements apply. Nevertheless, aspirants may find the following general eligibility criteria for UG and PG Fashion Design colleges in Bangalore useful:

• UG level: Students who have finished their Class 12 education from a recognised board are eligible to pursue a Fashion Design course offered at the undergraduate level. Candidates can come from any stream, including Science, Humanities. 
• PG level: To pursue a Fashion Design course at PG level, aspirants should have completed their graduation with passing marks from a recognised board in a related field. The courses duration is of two years.
