In this PG course students learn to draw basic figures of models, color schemes and technical drawing, details of construction of a dress. The eligibility for Post Graduation in fashion design is Bachelor's degree in fashion design or an equivalent Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks from a University. In this course many types of drapes they teach you like gathers, pleats, tucks etc. And as a fashion designer you should also know about the fabrics because this is the most important part of this field. As this is a very creative field so the course equips students with the aptitude to understand and execute an innovative design process, along with the development of fashion thinking, fabric processes, illustration, garment construction, trend analysis, media, brand identity and management skills. In Academics, students do experimental design and production. Students are exposed to fashion shows, craft fairs, industry internships, and craft documentation. LINGERIE DESIGN The course imparts the skill of developing patterns and construction of lingerie with knit and stretchable fabric. It imparts special construction skills for lingerie wear. This course is important because of recent expansion in the field of the lingerie market and gives new employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the students. PERIOD COSTUME WORKSHOP Develop period costumes for films, theatre, and other visual media. VISUAL MERCHANDISINGEmphasizes on understanding how to attract customers by the exterior and interior of the store. WORKSHOP ON FASHION ACCESSORIES Develop skills of converting concept-to-product by exploring different materials and forms. There are workshops, shows, field visits, industry visits held from time to time to pad up the theoretical training with practical. The highest salary offered for the course was 5lpa and the average was 3.1 LPA. There is an availability of international forecast WGSN for trend forecasting at LPU.
