Since fashion designing is a vast field, one needs a skill set to survive in the industry otherwise it's too tough. But, the skill requirements also depends on the person's job profile or the company he/she are working with. Anyways, I am listing down a set of skills which you need to be good in:
1 - Communication skills, because no one knows how good are you at your work, or how creative ideas you have in your mind, until and unless you will explain them in words. And, it is better if you also know some other foreign languages like - French, Italian, German, Spanish etc.

Yes, you do. You won't be able to obtain the required license if you want to start your own business. One year Diploma in Fashion Designing from a recognised institution is an easy way out.

You must be clear about your aspiring career, before setting an exception. After engineering, accountancy/finance is the most sought career. You can choose from professional courses like MBA, MCA, LLB and B.Ed, according to your interest. But the career rise will not be equal to CA/ICWA.

To become a fashion designer, you should study a 3 year full time B.Sc fashion designing course. And, to have more knowledge, you can go for Masters in fashion designing. You will get good knowledge and with your talent and studies, you can become a good fashion designer.

There is no standard 'International exam' for fashion designing. You need to apply for each school separately. Schools usually require an essay and portfolio. This process starts in November itself.
