You have to do one thing, you have to appear in a competitive examination named as 'NIFT' that is the entrance exam for National Institute of Fashion Technology.

There are some colleges which are offering fashion design courses like NIFT, NID and Pearl Academy. These three are the best colleges in India. You have to clear written test, situation test and interview to get admission in these college. Fashion design course is a four year programme. After completing four year you will be a fashion designer.

The age limit is different for different colleges. You can always apply for a Masters program if you aren't applicable for the undergrad course.

You will have to fill the forms so as to appear for entrance exams. If you wish to get into any good college, then appearing for entrance exam is a must.
For this year the entrance exams are over, you can probably prepare for next year.

After graduating from NIFT, you will have to create your own brand and then you can get in touch with celebs to carry your designs.

To start a career as a fashion designer, two types of qualifications are required:
1. Natural: this skill set would comprise of a decent aesthetic sense, colour expertise, good taste and sense of trends and fashion. An eye for detail and knowledge of fabrics is also important.
2. Acquired skills would be a qualification from a decent, recognized fashion Institute. You can enroll for either a full-time course or a part-time certificate course. Students usually take these up after their 10+2 level. While the academic requirements are not very high, you need considerable aptitude and talent to be labeled designer material. You must

After 12th, you can pursue Diploma in fashion design or you can complete your graduation with B.Sc in fashion and apparel design. This is an all time favorite option for creative people. The most common areas of job in this field include fashion research, designing and production of cloths and textile designing.
