No, there is no entrance examination conducted by the institute for admissions.

Yes, candidates can fill up an online admission form for the preferred course and pay the application fees through cheque or DD.

For a master’s degree pr PG Diploma course, candidates must complete their undergraduation from a recognised educational institution.

 For UG course, candidates must have passed Class 12 from a recognised educational institution. 

Candidates who wish to apply for MSc in Costume Design & Fashion Technology should fulfill one of these eligibility criteria

1. Should have completed BSc (CDF) Fashion Design / Textile & Clothing /Apparel Designing and Fashion Art / BSc Apparel design
2. BSc Textile & Apparel Design
3. BSc Textiles & Clothing
4. Any BSc degree related to Textiles and Fashion discipline

Reporting time for IIFT exam is mentioned on each candidate's admit card. Until last year, the IIFT exam was held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. And the reporting time for candidates was 8:00 AM. The reporting time is two hours before the commencement of exam because the test centre staff has to conduct candidate identification and document verification. The exam centre gates will close half and hour before commencement of exam. Candidates reaching the exam centre after the gates have been closed will not be allowed entry under any circumstances.
