Job options are tremendous in Fire and Safety engineering as there are less number of engineers in this field. While you can get recruited in both government and private sectors, you may also choose to become an independent fire consultant after completing a relevant fire technology course. In government sector there is job in the Defense forces, Railways, Airport Authority of India, Electricity Boards, C. I. S. F. , ONGC, Mines, Refineries, Petrochemical complexes, fire brigades or other such organizations. As safety is a major concern, most established companies like Reliance Energy also hire fire personnel to protect their company from any untoward incident. With increasing number of Malls and High rise buildings the Job opportunity is more then ever. PACAKGE:
In government sector - INR 15000-20000/month along with other facilities and perks. In Private sector - INR 20000-25000/month and onwards. But Hi! It depends on the individual too. A guy from my college got an offer of INR 35 lacs p. a. from some Australian company.

There is no guarantee of Government jobs after completing the Diploma in fire engineering.
