Production engineering is related to the manufacturing processes and machine design. It is a very essential concept for mechanical operations. PSG is a good choice for the same. Food technology is different from the production technology.

You will get placement in food companies like Horlicks, Kurkure, Lays, Dabur, Patanjali and other food manufacturing companies after completing your B.Sc honours in food technology. In government sector you can get a job in Food Corporation of India. Best of luck.

As you are getting food technology and engineering in Tezpur University, so you should go for this college. Yes, you can change the branch, if you perform well in the college exams. You need to score above 8.5 CGPA to change your branch.
