Food technology has a higher scope than plastic. With food tech, you can apply for both government and private jobs with a good pay scale, but with plastic, you can apply for private jobs with low pay scale at around 1.8 lacs per annum.

Both are entirely different courses. B.Tech food technology makes you employ in food and food preservative industries like ITC. As a food technologist you'll earn 2-3 lacs/annum as a fresher and 6-12 lacs/ annum as experienced professional. Your career can be QA/QC in manufacturing industries too. Else, B.Pharma makes you employ in any pharma sector within 1.8 lacs-2.5 lacs/annum but Masters in M.Pharma is important for a decent pay scale.
