National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management or NIFTEM was established by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries of Government of India at Sonipat in Haryana. Programmes in this university include MBA, B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D. The departments are mostly food-centric as this university was formulated by the Indian Government to be a 'one stop solution provider' for various troubles in food sector. The placements are decent, and most importantly the companies are from the core, and it's an entrepreneurship college shouldn't care about it. Master of Science in Aquaculture is a Post-Graduate Aqua Science course. The production of aquatic species such as fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and aquatic plants is known as aquaculture. Aquatic Toxicology, Biodiversity, Fish Nutrition, Fish Diseases, Immunology, and Endocrinology are all covered in the Aquaculture course. The faculty conducts research using fish, frogs, broilers, and mice as experimental animals.
The Master of Science program in Aquaculture lasts two years and is job-oriented, opening up several professional prospects once completed. The Aquaculture course is job-oriented in nature, and passing it offers up various prospects.

MSc Food Technology is a 2-year postgraduate program that deals with the technologies to produce, preserve, process, package, and distribute the food. It includes the study of processes and techniques involved from collecting the raw material to reaching the final product to the consumer.
The aim of the course is to reduce the amount of food waste that has been seen in every step of food processing and distribution. The course also focuses on producing a high-quality product, maintaining the nutrition value of the food, increasing the shelf life of the product, and availability of the seasonal fruits and vegetables throughout the year. The course imparts knowledge and skills to deal with the technicalities and diverse issues with the food processing technologies. The program covers subjects like Food Microbiology, Packaging Technology, Dairy Technology, Food Chemistry, Physical, Microbiological & Chemical structure of food, Designing and production of foods with its health benefits, Food Chemistry, Food Processing, Surface and Colloidal Chemistry, Microbiology, Nutrition and Analysis of Food.
The graduates can get jobs in various organizations such as the Food Corporation of India, Modern Food Corporation, North-Eastern Agricultural Marketing Corporation. They can also get an opportunity to become Research Scientists and pursue advanced research in the relative field.
This course also provides skills to the students to work as a Food Technologist in popular food processing firms which in turn helps them to grow as a technical professional.
So both courses are different but weightage can be given to M.Sc. Aquaculture, because you will face competition with B.Tech and M.Tech in employment if opting M.Sc. Food technology.
