Yes Free University of Berlin acceptance rate stands around 15% meaning out of every 100 candidates who apply for its admission process upto 15 will  be accepted. This makes it extremely hard to get into the university ad only one tenth of the applicants will be offered admission

The Free University of Berlin follows a two-semester system which is Winter and Summer. The university has major application periods in both of these semesters.

Please note that most of FU Berlin courses are in line with the standard German university calendar. The FU Berlin admission deadlines generally open in mid-Jan for the Summer semester and mid-July for the Winter one.

As an international student, the Free University of Berlin admission requirements are required to be met. For FU Berlin, you would need at least 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Its a little competitive to get admission here though.

Along with a good GPA, the students shoudl have -

  • A UG degree
  • German language proficiency for UG courses
  • English language proficiency
  • An application at Uni-Assist
