GAT exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The examination dates are annunced for each phase. GAT is a university level entrance examination conducted for admission to UG and PG management programmes of GITAM Deemed to be University. Candidates willing to appear for GAT exam must stay updated with the phase wise exam dates and last date to apply for exam. It is expected that GAT 2026 registrations will commence in second week of December 2025 at gitam.edu.

As per the latest GAT MBA exam pattern 2026, the question paper will be divided into three sections:

  • Logical Reasoning
  • Quantitative Reasoning
  • Language Comprehension

The GAT question paper will consist of total 100 questions, each of one mark. There will be no negative marking. The duration of GAT 2026 exam for MBA will be 150 minutes.

Candidates can start by gathering all related information related to the syllabus, exam patterns and guidelines and collect all the data related to it. Students can practice mock tests of the previous year's question papers and check them with the answer keys.

The maximum mark for the GAT (PG) is 200. Each question shall carry two marks and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Hence, candidates should mark the answer only when they are sure about it. Candidates must go through the patter properly.

No, all the questions in the GAT question paper will be objective-type questions and will be in MCQ format. Candidates will be given four options for each question. Candidates will have to select the correct option for each question. GAT question paper will consist of 200 Multiple Choice Questions. Each question will be for one mark. There will be a negative marking for any wrong answers. Candidates will have to attempt the 200 questions in 60 minutes. There will be no sectional time limit to attempt the GAT exam sections. GAT 2026 exam will be held multiple times in a year in computer-based mode across 27 cities in India.

As per the GITAM Management Admission Test (GAT) marking scheme, for every correct answer candidate will get one mark. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. For every wrong answer 1/3 of the mark will be deducted. There will be no negative marking for not attempted questions. As per the GAT 2026 exam pattern, the question paper will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), of one mark each. There will be no sectional time limit. Candidates can start answering from any section they are comfortable with. The GAT BBA exam is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes.
