After declining/rejecting the offer (s) in a particular round, you will not be considered for the same offer (s). In case, you have given higher preferences in M.Tech. Application, then you may be considered for the higher preferences in the subsequent round (s) of offers based on the availability of vacancies and merit list, within the rules of that institute. Also, after the last/final round at COAP no offers will be available at COAP. For any offer/admission related matter, candidates must visit the respective Academic Institutes Admission Portal.

The merit list for seal allocation will be prepared based on the GATE scores. There may be some cases where two or more candidates score the same marks; in such cases, the following will be considered:
- In the case of the same year's GATE qualification, preference will be given to the candidate who has scored higher GATE marks out of 100. - If GATE marks are out of 100 and the year of passing GATE for two candidates is the same, then preference will be based on the All India Rank (AIR). - If the marks out of 100, years of passing the GATE and AIR are the same, then the Date of Birth will be considered. There is no centralised counselling process for GATE 2023. State and private universities conduct their own counselling based on GATE scores 2023. CCMT (Centralized Counselling for M.Tech/MArch) conducts the counselling process for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs. Candidates need to register on the official website of the CCMT for it. To inform the candidates, GATE counselling for IITs will be conducted by COAP. The GATE 2023 exam was conducted by IIT Kanpur on February 4, 5, 11, and 12. The result was declared on March 16, 2023. GATE counselling will be conducted by two different bodies Common Offer Acceptance Portal COAP and Centralised Counselling for M.Tech CCMT for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and CFTIs. There is no centralised counselling process for GATE. Candidates who will qualify the GATE exam can participate in the counselling procedure conducted by these two separate bodies for admission to participating institutes. For state university like Osmania GATE counselling is done by the university itself as per the application received.
