Hello Bushi,
It is very good sign that you are thinking to prepare GATE form 2ND year itself. Many students think that they will start preparation in last year itself and crack the exam. But it is not possible as GATE require long and consistence study.
The first step of preparation starts with knowing the syllabus and then familiarizing with all the relevant subject topics.
The GATE test duration is 3 hours. There are 65 questions with a maximum of 100 marks.
Objective type questions are included in the GATE test.
Four alternatives will be there. Numerical questions have a number as the answer.
Selective study should be avoided so that you can score good marks in GATE.
You have to solve every single questions thereby you get a good practice and can make sure that you can solve any similar problem when it comes in the entrance exam.
