Yes, the candidates are advised to refer to and study the entire GCET syllabus. Since the question paper will be prepared based on the GCET syllabus, the candidates should be familiar with it to ensure that they perform well in the entrance examination. By studying the entire syllabus, the candidates will be well prepared. However, the candidates can identify some important topics that are likely to have high weightage in the question paper and give more time to study it.

No. The authorities will not accept any requests to change the allotted exam centre after the GCET admit card. While filling out the application form, the candidates are advised to be careful while filling out their exam centre preferences. The authorities will allot the GCET exam centres as per the preferences and availability of the centre. No changes can be made after the centres have been allotted.

While filling out the offline application form of GCET/Goa BE admission, the candidates will be required to paste their passport size photograph. The photograph should be passport-sized and should be 3.5cm in width and 4.5cm in height. Since the application process is offline, no online uploading of documents is necessary. Candidates will also have to sign the application form in the designated area.

Before registration, the candidates are advised to check the GCET eligibility criteria. In case the candidates are not able to meet the eligibility criteria, then they will not be allowed to participate in the application and admission process. The eligibility criteria of GCET has been given below.

  • Should be of Indian nationality.
  • Candidates should have passed 10+2th (or equivalent) standard qualifying examination conducted by a recognised board.
  • The minimum required marks should have been secured by the candidates.

GCET 2025 will not be held. In the previous year, DTE announced that the state will not conduct the entrance examination. Instead, admissions into the BE courses offered by the participating institutes will be done based on JEE Main scores/ranks. All candidates will have to attempt atleast one session of JEE Main and qualify it to be eligible for Goa BE admissions. More details regarding the counselling and admission process will be announced by DTE Goa.

GCET/Goa BE seat allotment result will be declared offline. Candidates will be able to check their seat allotment result at the counselling venue. No other mode will be used to declare the seat allotment result. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences and seat availability.

Yes, candidates are expected to have the option to access and submit the GCET/Goa BE admission counselling form offline. The counselling form will be available at - Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna,  PES Rajaram & Tarabai College of Pharmacy, Farmagudi and the Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim. Along with the counselling form, the candidates will also be required to submit their self-attested documents.

GCET/Goa BE admission counselling was held offline from July 1, 2025. Candidates have to report at the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Porvorim for the counselling according to their allotted dates. The seat allotment result will also be announced online. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's JEE Main rank, preferences and seat availability.

GCET/Goa BE admission result/merit list will be released online by the authorities of DTE, Goa. Candidates are advised to check the details present in the result/merit list carefully. In case of any mistakes in the examination, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities. The following details will be present in the result/merit list of GCET.

  • Candidate's name
  • Application number
  • Course and subject
  • Obtained merit rank

The authorities will release the GCET/Goa BE admission result/merit list online at dte.goa.gov.in. Candidates will not require any log in credentials to check the result/merit list of GCET/Goa BE admission. The authorities will make the result/merit list available online in the form of a PDF. The given steps can be followed to access the GCET/Goa BE admission result.

  • Go to dte.goa.gov.in
  • Click on the result/merit list link.
  • The result/merit list will be displayed on the screen.
  • The result/merit list has to be downloaded for future use.
