Students who wish to pursue the MSc Geology course must at least secure 50% to 60% marks in graduation in a relevant field from a recognised university in India.

Based on the information available, English is NOT explicitly mandatory in the CUET to pursue a B.Sc (Hons.) in Geology at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

 Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for the B.Sc (Hons.) Geology programme at BHU, you need to have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Maths plus any one of the following: Chemistry, Statistics, Geology, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Geography.

Yes, it seems Central University of Kerala does try to help M.Sc. Geology students with placements. They have a placement cell that works across departments and even a specific placement person for the Geology department.While exact numbers for Geology placements aren't always easy to find, the university does place postgraduate students in general. Some past students have even mentioned getting opportunities in places like ISRO.
