GITAM is a private college which is a constituent college of GITAM (Deemed to be University) located in Visakhapatnam. The Science programmes have started in GITAM beginning with a UGC funded innovative course, M.Sc. Environmental Studies in 1995. Also, the latest addition being M.Sc. Food Science and Technology was established in 2008.

Visakhapatnam Campus is the oldest and the largest campus of GITAM University. It is located in the city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
