After your GMAT registration, you will book the GMAT exam dates. Before you proceed with the booking of your GMAT exam dates, there are a few important points that you must consider:
- Study Abroad Intakes: Primarily, there are 3 major study abroad intakes Fall Intake, Spring Intake, and Summer Intake. Students need to be clear about the courses and specializations that are offered in these intakes. Applicants can choose to schedule their GMAT Online exam dates six months in advance. This rule is the same as for GMAT test centre testing. Applicants who wish to take the GMAT at an earlier date in an emergency and cannot find GMAT test centre slots can book the GMAT Online exam, but at a slightly higher exam fee. GMAT Online dates are more widely available than GMAT test centre dates.

Yes, GMAT Online is conducted on almost all days of the month except for public holidays. Applicants can choose their exam date according to their preference and register a maximum of 24 hours before the scheduled GMAT Online exam date. Since GMAT Online is conducted online or remotely, the slots do not finish like they do for GMAT at a test centre.

Yes, GMAT exam dates are available all year around. But booking a slot for test centre last minute cannot be a sure shot gurantee. Applicants must identify their GMAT exam dates six months before and register for the same well in advance. GMAT online exam can be available 24 hours before the test date.

The simple solution to this problem is to pick up the next available date where the slot is available and appear for the exam. It is always better to register for the GMAT exam as soon as you make up your mind to apply for admissions abroad for MBA.

Though applicants have the flexibility to schedule their GMAT exam dates 24 hours before the actual exam date (both test centre and online), however, the availability of test centre may not always be possible. The reason being, that the slots get booked early and slots become unavailable at the last minute. This is why it is advised for those planning to take GMAT at test centre to book their GMAT exam dates in advance.

You can take the GMAT exam in any month on your preferred date. GMAT is conducted across the entire month for those planning to sit for the exam at a test centre. Whereas, GMAT Online is offered around the clock, 24/7 for applicants. Applicants must ensure they book their GMAT exam date well in advance if they are going for GMAT at a test centre because booking 24 hours before cannot guarantee you a slot. GMAT Online date can be booked 24 hours before easily, there is no hassle here.

- GMAT Online is available 24/7 on all days of the month and registrations can be last made 24 hours before the chosen time slot.
- GMAT at test centre is available on almost all dates of a month. But here the time slots are limited, because of which last minute slot booking can be difficult (that is 24 hours before).
- Also, the registration fee for GMAT Online is slightly higher than GMAT at test centre and there is no late registration fee for last minute registrations.
