To be eligible to appear for the GMCET entrance exam, candidates must ensure they fulfill the following GMCET eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must have a minimum education qualification of Higher Secondary (10+2) or any equivalent education with a minimum aggregate of 50% for the General Category & 45% for SC/ST/OBC. OR
- Candidates should be appearing for Higher Secondary (10+2) or any equivalent education.
- A candidate with a three or four-year diploma, from a recognised university approved by AICTE with a minimum of 50% marks can also apply.

The GMCET 2026 exam will be conducted in online mode. This means that the candidates can appear for the GMCET entrance exam from amnywhere, provided they have laptop or desktop, and an internet connection.

The Global Media Education Council (GMEC) conducts the GMCET entrance exam in online mode. The question paper consists of 100 questions of one mark each. The GMCET question paper is divided in four sections of 25 questions each. Candidates can take the exam from any place with their laptops or desktops.

As per the Global Media Entrance Common Entrance Test (GMCET) The time duration of the entrance exam is 60 minutes. During this time, candidates will have to attempt 100 questions. The GMCET test will be conducted in online mode and candidates will be able to attempt them at their personal laptop or desktop from their home.

No, there is no sectional time limit in the Global Media Common Entrance Test (GMCET). Although there are 4 sections in the GMCET examination there is no specific time limit allotted to each section. The overall time of the GMCET examination is 60 minutes for 100 questions with 1 mark each.

No, there is no negative marking in the GMCET examination. It is one of the those exams which gives candidates this privilege where they can attempt as many questions as they want to attempt without even bothering about minus marking. There are a total of 100 questions asked in the exam and each question consists of 1 mark each.
