Check below for GMCET eligibility criteria.
- Candidates must have a minimum education qualification of Higher Secondary or any equivalent education with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent for General Category & 45 per cent for SC/ST/OBC. OR
- They should be appearing for Higher Secondary or any equivalent education.
- A student with a three or four year diploma, from a recognised university approved by AICTE with a minimum of 50 per cent marks can also apply.

As per Global Media Education Council, GMCET 2026 entrance exam will be conducted in online mode. So, the students can take the exam from anywhere if they have a laptop or desktop and an internet connection.

As per exam pattern released by Global Media Education Council at gmcet.org, there are 100 questions in question paper. Candidates get 1 mark for every correct answer and there is no negative marking. So GMCET total marks is 100.

The Global Media Education Council conducts the GMCET entrance exam in online mode. Students who submit the application form on time can take the exam from anyplace as long as they have internet connection and a laptop or desktop.

As per official Global Media Education Council website, the time duration of GMCET entrance exam is 60 minutes. During this time, candidates will have to answer 100 multiple choice questions.

The GMCET entrance exam does not have any sectional time limit. The GMCET question paper will have four sections and candidates will have to answer the questions within 60 minutes. Each section will have 25 questions of one mark each.

No, there is no negative marking in GMCET entrance exam. There are a total of 100 questions asked in GMCET question paper and each question consists of 1 mark.

As per the official exam pattern of GMCET there are 4 sections - English language and IQ, General knowledge of news and current affairs, Entertainment media knowledge and Brands and brand communication basic knowledge. The GMCET question paper will be based on these 4 sections. Each section will consist of 25 questions which will in multiple choice format. Total there will be 100 questions and the best part of the exam pattern is there will be no negative marking in the GMCET exam.
