Below is GMCET eligibility criteria for 2026 admissions.
- Higher Secondary (10+2) or any equivalent education with a minimum aggregate of 50% for General Category and 45% for SC/ST/OBC.
OR
- Aspirants must be appearing for 10+2 level in 2026.

No, GMCET is not a center based exam. It is an online exam, which candidates can give from the comfort of their homes. The exam can be given from a laptop/desktop. The details and instructions related to exam will be mentioned on GMCET admit card.

The GMCET or Global Media Common Entrance Test is an all-South Asia Mass Communication entrance exam that is conducted for the admisison of qualified candidates into to various participating universities across India which offer Journalism and Mass Communication courses. It is conducted by the Global Media Education Council (GMEC).

Students can apply from official website of GMCET - gmcet.org. To apply they will first have to register, fill details, and log in using their credentials. To successfully submit the application form, aspirants will have to pay the application fee in online mode.
