It is not true that Government College of Engineering Amravati offers 100% placements for M.Tech students. In the year 2023 placement drive just two students of the twenty six eligible M.Tech students got placed leaving a placement percentage of about 7.69%. The median salary was approximately INR 4,00,000 per annum for these placements.

However, when compared with those of B.Tech students at the same institution; the rates of placement for M.Tech are way much lower. However, the college’s placement cell engages in preparing them by organizing regular drives and delivering essential training support.

However, in terms of affordability, Adamas University is a better option since the total tuition fee for Adamas University is INR 4,60,000 - INR 8,70,000 and the total tuition fee for B.E. / B.Tech at KGEC - Kalyani Government Engineering College is INR 33,600 - INR 3,960,500.
