Having an All India Rank (AIR) of 5,40,425 in NEET, it might be tough to get a seat in a government veterinary college through AIPVT (All India Pre-Veterinary Test) counseling, as government veterinary colleges have more cutoff ranks. But you can always look for seats in state quota counseling since some states also have lower cutoffs for reserved categories. Management quota seats and private veterinary colleges are also possible. Watch out for state-wise counseling notifications and final-round cutoffs for chances. Alternatively, you may also check B.Sc. in Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science.

According to the data from past examinations in government Polytechnic colleges across different states the cutoff ranges from 145-155 out of 200 for general section but the cutoff for reserved categories stands between 120-130 marks. General candidates should have scores between 250 to 300 marks from a total of 400 while reserved category students need marks between 200 to 250 in Uttar Pradesh. The cut-off marks for general category students in government BSc Nursing colleges exceed 450 NEET scores and therefore admission is unlikely unless you can attend a private college based on location choice and college rankings. If you belongs to EWS category then there is a slight edge to get a seat in government college .FOr this academic year if you want to  progress your study then go with private college else in my opinion put one extra effort one more time and improve a bit.I hope you difinitely grab a good marks and will get a seat in government college.
