Yes, the admission to B.E. / B.Tech course in Government Engineering College, Bhuj during 2025-26 academic session is already open and under-way. It operates under an umbrella of ACPC Gujarat in a centralized manner. Round 1 of GUJCET seat allotment was announced on June 13, 2025, and confirmations made on June 17, 2025. Non-registered candidates to be offered the available seats will be able to register on-line between June 19-25, 2025. The follow up counselling (Round 2 will be done on July 3 and onward) will include. Visit the official ACPC Gujarat website to get access to recent updates.

The hostel food mess at Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GEC Bhuj) is usually appreciated with most of the respondents giving positive feedback, such as; good, hygienic, and is/was like home. The quality also pleases the students, considering the hostel fees are very low. Although old reviews give an idea that there might have been some inconsistency or closure of mess facilities, newer reviews indicate a working mess. The menu is usually simple and has plain Indian meals which offer great value.

Training and Placement cell at Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GEC Bhuj) is very active. This cell aims at developing employability in students through workshops, career counselling and mock interviews. It proactively organizes placements and internships reaching out to firms such as Reliance, Tata and Adani, to hold campus drives. In 2023, GEC Bhuj recorded a top package of 8.5 LPA and an average package of 4.4 LPA and 69 students were placed by 27 companies.

B.E./B.Tech at GEC Bhuj offers great opportunity to those students, who care more about getting good and cheap education in Gujarat in engineering. Being the only engineering college of the government in Kutch it has commendably low fees and is a recognised college of GTU. It has good infrastructure, mature and well supportive faculty and also provides diverse programs. It is a good area to get decent placement opportunities, particularly, with local industries as it offers a decent degree which is recognized.

The Government Engineering College, Bhuj does not have any admission criteria of its own. Rather, the admission into B.E./B.Tech is mainly in a centralized processby the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat. The defining requirements are that of passing 10+2 (PCM) with at least 45 percent marks (general) and 40 percent marks (reserved), and that of obtaining through GUJCET or JEE Main a valid rank at least. Applicants will then need to get involved in the online counselling of ACPC that includes registrations, document verification, filling of the choice and assigning the seats as per merit and as per the reserv

Hostel accommodation in Government Engineering College, Bhuj is very affordable going at about 1,500 per annum to 3400 per annum. These charges do not include the mess fees which will be more when provided. The extremely low price is often commended by students, which makes it a very inexpensive place of accomodation. To get the accurate and up to date information on fees, mess arrangements etc. it would be prudent to enquire with the college administration itself.

Yes, Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GEC Bhuj) is a reputed institute especially in the state of Gujarat. It was founded in 1994 and it is considered to be the only government engineering college at the Kutch district, which also provides an education that is very cheap. A long history, part of GTU, strong rebuilding following the 2001 earthquake, and positive student opinion about it in general, make it well known and well regarded in the region, with respect to future engineers in Gujarat.

The Government Engineering College, Bhuj (GEC Bhuj) is well known as the sole government engineering college in the Kutch district which was initially established in year 1994. It is famous due to extremely friendly charges, rich infrastructure, wide range of B.Tech courses and M.Tech courses and a strong background, such as reconstruction following the 2001 earthquake. It provides good job opportunities with well-known firms and is admired due to its friendly, knowledge-abundant instructors, and so it is a good option to the students in the region.
