If you are already pursuing your engineering then you can go for a separate graphic design course and if you've not joined any institute yet then I would like to inform you that there are specialized CS programs being run by some universities like UPES which incorporate Graphics and Gaming design in their CSE curriculum so you do not have to do such courses separately. Like UPES Dehradun offers 'B.Tech Computer Science & Engineering with specialization in Graphics and Gaming in association with IBM ' so you can pursue such programs if you have interest in this field. Such programs would help you to work as a:
Application Developer / Testing Engineer - Graphics & Gaming
Support & Testing of Gaming Applications
Development Engineer of Gaming in Mobile Apps

If you are creative, you may aspire for a degree in Animation & Digital Media segment after XII.
Animation & Digital Media programs are very exciting & youthful career options which are skill based and requires creativity, passion & patience .

Pardeep, If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. A good mentor and wise selection of courses with a good school, followed by diligent learning, would get you a head start in your career. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in UI Design, Graphic Design, Storyboarding, Animation Design, Game Design, 3D Modelling, Texturing and Lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation (2D and 3D). However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these. So going for a generic course covering all or most of these would be the best way to get started in these careers. Typically you should have good sketching skills to be able to make a sound career in this (if you work hard you can improve your drawing skills tremendously). Thank you for your e-mail. This is to inform you that the admissions for the academic session 2014-2015 have commenced. We have regular courses in Graphic Design/Commercial art. We are offering 22 Vocational Courses. The duration for all the courses in Polytechnic is ONE yr for Graduates, TWO years or three years courses are for both Graduate and Under Graduates
There is no entrance test. it is on the basis of first cum first served.
The prospectus is available in the admissions Hall, within our campus. There is also an Exhibition on, comprising of : 'Choose your Career'. Our counseling officers may further assist you in deciding the course.

Our fees are RS.57,000/- per annum. We however only take it in four installments,
