Candidates have to register online for ONGC recruitment. While applying for the job at ONGC, they have to register online, upload the required documents and pay the application fees. Candidates who have passed the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) can apply at ONGC. GATE score is considered for shortlisting the candidates. These candidates have to appear for written test.
You can apply for two GATE papers (maximum). While filling out the GATE application form, you need to select the primary and secondary paper. The GATE secondary paper must be from the subject list prescribed by the GATE authorities. Before adding the paper, go through the subject combination list and GATE paper codes.
Candidates opting for two GATE papers will have to pay double the fees mentioned -
For example,
- If a general category candidate is applying for two GATE papers, then he/she has to pay a fee of INR 4000 (during the regular timeline) and INR 5000 (during the extended period).
- The same applies to the female, SC, ST, and PwD category candidates, INR 2000 (during the regular time period) and INR 3000 (during the extended period).

Candidates willing to get admission to the IIT Khargapur must first register for the entrance exams. Then appear for the entrance exams. Then take part in the counselling round. Pay the admission fee at the selected and the allotted college. This is how a student can apply for various courses offered at IIT Kharagpur.
The institute has given weightage to all the sections in CAT cut-off for the final shortlisting of the students. For General category candidates, the minimum CAT overall percentile is 90. This is relaxed for reserved category students and stands at 80 percentile for NC-OBC category students and 75 for SC, ST and PwD students. However, for final admisison, there is only an overall cutoff. For General category candidates, minimum CAT percentile is 90. This will be relaxed for category students as per the Government of India norms.
For admission to MBA at VGSOM (IIT Kharagpur), candidates need to qualify CAT followed by group discussion and personal interview round. The minimum CAT percentile required is 90 for general category students. For NC-OBC and SC/ ST/ PwD the minimum CAT percentile required is 80 and 75 respectively.
To be eligible for admission to MBA at VGSOM, candidates must have the following:
- A bachelor’s degree of minimum 4-year duration in Engineering, Technology, Pharmacy, Medicine, or similar streams
- OR a master’s degree in Science/ Economics/ Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor’s level) with 60% aggregate (or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale) for General and NC-OBC candidates and 55% aggregate (or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale) for SC/ST and PwD category candidates.
- Candidates appearing for the final year of the bachelor’s degree/ equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply
Selection of candidates for admission to MBA at VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur is a two-step process. The applicants are shortlisted based on eligibility criteria and called for an online Personal Interview (PI). Final admission to MBA is offered on the basis of a cumulative score of the Application Rating (AR), performance score in CAT, and the candidate’s performance in the online PI round. ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are interested in applying for various posts available at ONGC are required first to make sure that they fulfill the following eligibility criteria for ONGC Recruitment 20245:
- Applicants must be Indian Nationals
- Candidates must score at least 60% aggregate marks in undergraduate engineering programs.
- Candidates who have passed professional exams such as AMIE (Electrical)/ AMIE (Mechanical)/ AMIE(Civil) can not apply for the ONGC recruitment through GATE 2025.
- Candidates in the final year of BTech or BE can also appear in the exam. If such candidates get shortlisted, their recruitment will be provisional until they produce all the requisite documents by the last week of July 2025.
- Applicants having an undergraduate degree from distance learning or part-time mode are allowed to sit for the recruitment process, provided their degree is well-recognized by the relevant statutory bodies for employment to posts and services of the Central Government.

By following the simple steps below, candidates can register for ONGC Recruitment.
- Register and fill out the ONGC GATE application form
- Pay the application fees
- Submit the form and take a printout of the ONGC GATE 2025 application form.
The applicants can deposit the registration fee at any branch of State Bank of India (SBI) through the challan in favour of ONGC Power Jyoti A/C No. 30827318409 of SBI, Tel Bhavan, Dehradun. Once the payment is done successfully, candidates are advised to keep a copy of the bank challan for further verification by ONGC at a later stage.
Application Fee: For the General and OBC categories, the registration fee is INR 299.90 and for SC/ST and PwD there is no fee.
ONGC Recruitment 2025: Selection Procedure
Shortlisting candidates for the Graduate Trainees post will be done based on GATE 2025 Scores and then a further round of personal interviews. For the personal interview round, shortlisted candidates are required to carry all the original documents. For candidates who are working in the public sector unit or government job, they will have to submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the organization they are working in. After qualifying the personal interview round, applicants will have to meet the required medical parameters as laid down by ONGC. The final selection will be done based on a merit list prepared on the basis of the below-given merits.
