The last date for choice filling during IPU counselling generally varies depending on the course and the counselling round. However, for most programmes, the choice filling process typically ends 2 to 4 days after the start of each counselling round. Candidates are advised to complete their choice filling within the given deadline for each round, as missing it may result in disqualification from that round of seat allotment. The exact last date is always mentioned in the official counselling schedule released by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on ipu.admissions.nic.in. It is important to regularly check the official

IPU CET counselling is the process conducted by Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) for allotting seats to candidates based on their performance in the IPU CET or other relevant entrance exams, depending on the course. Counselling is conducted in online mode. Candidates must register on the official website, pay the counselling fee, fill in their preferences, and participate in seat allotment rounds.

The criteria for appearing in IPU CET B.Tech counselling is considered as a little different for  regular B.Tech courses compared to B.Tech and lateral entry programs:

  • Regular B.Tech Courses:
    • Valid JEE Main scorecard is required. IPU CET scores are not considered for these programs.
  • B.Tech (Biotechnology) & Lateral Entry Programs:
    • JEE Main scorecard is not mandatory. Seat allotment for these programs happens based on your  IPU CET score.

In Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, better known as IPU or GGSIPU, there’s a 75 per cent reservation for Delhi students. Delhi students are those students who have completed their Class 12 from a school which is in Delhi. The remaining 25 per cent seats are for students from all over India. So, Delhi general refers to those students who passed their school from Delhi but are in the General category while All India general refers to the students who have passed their school from anywhere but Delhi and are from the General category.
