Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Technology (GTBIT) is a privately run technical institute founded in 1999 by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC). Although it is affiliated with the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, which is a government-run university, GTBIT is privately run and operated by DSGMC, a statutory welfare society. The institute is approved by AICTE and provides degree-level technical education in New Delhi. 

Last year's cutoff rank for Sikh minority students at GTBIT were different between branches. For Computer Science and Engineering, the candidates with JEE Main ranks ranging from 1.5 to 2 Lacs got admission. The other branches such as IT and ECE had more cutoff ranks. GTBIT keeps 70% of seats reserved for Sikh minority candidates, providing them with a great advantage in admissions.
