Aspirants need to complete BE/ BTech degrees in relevant specialisation with required aggregate to apply for the HBTU Kanpur M.Tech programme. Candidates also need to qualify for GATE or CUET-PG for admission to any of the M.Tech specialisations.

For admission to HBTU BBA course, candidate should be a Class 12 or equivalent exam pass with at least 55% aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD). In addition, the students appearing for the final exams are also eligible to apply. The students should have their mark sheets and other important documents with them during form filling and admission confirmation. It must be noted that the mentioned minimum aggregate is as per unofficial sources and hence, is indicative.

It is necessary that each aspirant fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements. Thus, the aspirants who have completed Class 12 with at least 55% aggregate (50% aggregate for reserved category) in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Computer Science are eligible to apply for a BTech course in HBTU. Moreover, for BTech Lateral Entry, aspirants need to pass CUET exam and should have completed a three-year Engineering Diploma with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% aggregate for SC/ ST).

Candidates with a valid Bachelor's degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Engineering/Technology or having a BCA degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ST/PwD/OBC-NCL category) from a university recognised by UGC are eligible to apply. Applications of only the eligible candidates are acceptable. Moreover, applicants must hold the mark sheets and other documents during form filling and admission confirmation.
