IIIT Kota ranks higher and holds an edge over newer IIITs like Sonepat or Una due to its established reputation, better placements (avg INR 11-12 LPA), and permanent campus. While Sonepat/Una have decent, growing placements, IIIT Kota's older, stronger industry ties make it a superior choice.
- IIIT Kota: More established, better reputation, permanent campus.
- IIIT Sonepat/Una: Newer, developing infrastructure, good for CSE if closer to home, but lagging slightly in placement stability.

A score of 80 per cent or more is generally considered as excellent in HBSE 12th exam. 60-70 per cent is considered good. Candidates must aim to get more than 90 percent to get admission in good colleges. The passing marks are 33 per cent.

Good rank in Haryana Board Class 12 exam is over 85 to 90 per cent. In 2025, HBSE 12th topper secured 497/500 (99.4%). The overall pass rates were around 85%.
