HEC Montreal

HEC Montreal offers several on and off-campus housing accommodation facilities. The residence of the university offers around 40 rooms to international students on campus. The university has limited space in its residence halls and dorms. The majority of residences are available within a 10-minute drive from the university. Students can rent a private room or an apartment, including a fully furnished bedroom, dining, bathroom, living room, Wi-fi, electricity, laundry room, storage locker, fitness room, game room, and common room.

The average price for the room is CAD 965 per month. Students need to take a room for a minimum of a nine-month lease. International students can expect the following estimated expenses while studying in Montreal.

Off-campus housing accommodations include apartments, townhouses, full houses, and apartment studios that have single/double bedroom, studio rooms, basement suites, or luxurious suites. Students can choose to rent a place, stay with friends and family, or share apartments. International students should check the respective course pages for subject and course-specific requirements. In general, the requirements are as follows:

Undergraduate Admissions: Applicants should have at least 120 credits in Grade 12 with relevant subject credits. ACT or SAT scores may be required as per course. Students should also showcase French and English language proficiency. French requirements include either one of these:

• Passed the Uniform French, Language of Instruction, and Literature Exam of Quebec CEGEPs

• Completed French course as a second language

• UCLAN French test

• TFLM

• High school Diploma in Canada in the French language

• Passed the linguistic test with 60% or mor

Graduate Admissions: A bachelor's diploma/degree or general license accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education is required. Three years of university study is mandatory. Apart from this, French and English language proficiency is required as per course.

Doctoral Admissions:  The eligibility criteria for all international students to pursue any Ph.D. Programs in HEC Montreal are:

• Students must have a master's degree or Specialized Graduate Diploma (DESS) from any European Educational system

• Any Graduate Diploma in business administration or any related field with an excellent grade at the school

• Pass any of the programs mentioned below with an aggregate 70% or the equivalent of aggregate marks:

• GMAT: Overall 640

• TAGE MAGE: Overall 283

• GRE: Overall score equivalent to GMAT 640

• Advanced proficiency in English or French

• Three years or 90 credits in English or French during university studies

• TFI score should be 850 or TOEFL score at least 100
