In 2027, the University of Heidelberg QS ranking is #86. Last year, Heidelberg Uni ranked at #80. This shows there is a decline of the university's ranking by 6 spots. A few of the subject rankings of this university in the QS rankings (2026) are-
- Biological Sciences: #28
- Medicine: #34
- Physics and Astronomy: #43
- Law and Legal Studies: #49

No, Ludwig Maximilians University is not ranked better than LMU under the Times Higher Education rankings. As per the same rankings, LMU Munich is also getting its rankings improved and that is not the case with Heidelberg University in Germany.
Look at the table of comparison given below for the rankings -
