The Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET) selects students for B.E./B.Tech courses based on a combination of merit and entrance exams. Generally, candidates need to have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in a Science stream. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects, along with one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or a Technical Vocational subject.
