HPU MAT Pattern

The HPU MAT questions are objective and carries multiple choices (MCQs). Each question will have four answer options. Candidates will have to select the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since HPU MAT 2026 exam will be conducted in a computer-based mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, they will get full marks, and in case of wrong answer, no negative marking scheme will be applied. Candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer. Before the final submission, they can change the answer option in case they realise that they have entered the wrong answer option earlier.

No, HPU MAT exam does not have sectional time limit to appear for the exam. However, students will be required to complete the exam in pre informed exam duration i.e, two hours/ 120 minutes and no extra time will be granted to the students under any circumstances. HPU MAT is a computer-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section only when the candidate clicks the next button. Candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section as there will be negative markings. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in HPU MAT exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use the exam duration as per their strength and weakness. Candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour prior to complete the frisking formalities at the HPU MAT exam centre.

HPU Management Aptitude Test (HPU MAT) is conducted for admission to MBA programme of HPU Business School. HPU MAT question paper will consist of questions four sections viz.,  English Comprehension,   Business Environment,  General Knowledge and Reasoning and Numerical Skills. The General English part will have questions from Reading Comprehension, Verbal Reasoning and Verbal Ability. Reasoning and Numerical section will include questions from algebra, statistics, number systems, percenatges, profit and loss and so forth. The General Awareness section will have questions from General Knowledge, Current Affairs and Business Scenario. Business Environment Areness section will imclude questions from World Economy, Indian Economy, Industry, Banking, Trade, Famous business tycoons & industrialists, corporate assocations BSE & NSE, logos & tags lines orf different companies and so forth.
