The minimum eligibility criteria to pursue PhD at MGKVP is that students must have completed their UG and PG degrees with a minimum aggregate of 55%. Those who have done an MPhil degree with 55% aggregate are, however, also eligible for admission to this course. Final admission to PhD is subject to the Research Entrance Test (RET) conducted by the MGKVP. The RET exam paper is divided into two sections/papers. The details are as follows:
- The first section/paper will include questions around General Awareness, Aptitude, Academic and related issues. There will be a total of 10 questions. All the questions will be of one mark and the students will get a total of two hours to finish this exam.
- The second section/ paper will be inclusive is research aptitude-based questions. There will be a total of 200 questions of one mark each.
