ISU BA admissions are primarily merit-based. The Personal Interview (PI) is the final stage to check the fit of the candidate for the program. During the PI, faculty members typically evaluate:
Communication Skills: Your ability to express ideas clearly and confidently.
General Awareness: Your knowledge of current events or basic concepts related to your chosen specialisation, BA in Hospitality Management or BA in Culinary Arts.
Aptitude & Passion: For creative BA tracks such as Culinary Arts, they may look for a genuine interest in the industry and any past extracurricular achievements.

Yes, after selection in BA programme at ITM, the student needs to pay a seat reservation fee of INR 25,000. This amount is non-refundable. The seat reservation fee payment ensures that your seat is secured. Since seats for the BA are limited and in high demand, ITM Skills University uses this process to confirm the final list of dedicated students joining the university.

Yes, competition for the BA at ITM Skills University can be quite high due to the limited number of seats and the university's strong industry reputation. Because ITM Skills University prioritises quality over quantity, the intake for the BA is kept selective. This creates a competitive atmosphere where motivated students strive to prove their potential during the interview and testing phases to secure their place in these specialised professional courses.

ITM Skills University intentionally follows a small batch size for the BA to ensure every student receives personalised mentoring. This focused environment at ITM Skills University allows for better interaction between BA students and expert faculty members. Smaller groups also mean that BA students get easier access to specialised placement training and other resources, which is essential for mastering the practical skills required in the hospitality and culinary sectors.

Yes, it is highly recommended that a seat is secured early for the BA in International Culinary Arts course at ITM Skills University, as it is one of the most sought-after courses. Seats for the course are taken up well before the August session commences. By applying early for the BA course, the students will avoid the last-minute risk of missing a seat for the specialisation of their choice.

ITM Skills University generally holds interviews and counselling sessions in April and May. As seats are limited for the BA courses, ITM Skills University advises BA aspirants to take this opportunity early on, allowing them to get accustomed to the university atmosphere before the final academic session begins later in the year.
