Gujarat University releases its cut off & merit list for various courses to get admission in UG & PG programs every year. There are around 130 departments & colleges in Gujarat University for which cutoff will be determined based on the reservation categories and the availability of the seats. The merit list for the Master in Development Communication programme was released on October 28. The merit list of Gujarat University for the MA programme was released on October 9. The merit list of Gujarat University is issued on the official website. The merit list includes the name of the candidates who have been selected for the counselling.
The university offers admissions to BSc (Nursing) programme based on the NEET-UG scores, MTech programme on the GATE/ PGCET scores, MCA and MBA programme on CMAT scores respectively. The admissions to the MPhil and PhD programmes are entrance test-based followed by group discussion & interview. Hi. I agree with logic is valid in India also. With MBA you get better career prospects (Financially). But if you have orientation for helping the community and development sector you can go with MSW. You can get anywhere between 3035 K pm as starting salary if got MSW from premier institute and it can go upto 11.2 Lacs+ in 78 years. Crossing 1.25 Lacs pm is big barrier in 78 years while in case of MBA is quite easy in 34 years only. Plus, if you do MBA with HR or option also available with Rural Marketing/Rural Management and other social sectors specializations you can pursue your passion in Rural Development and CSR sector easily. But again, salary can be compared as: You will not get salary as lucrative as some of your corporate friends. Definitely you will also not in bottom 60% of pay pyramid. Getting job and early growth is easy in CSR and NGOs, but at higher level there is difficulty to cross certain barriers as there are lot less opportunities at top compared to corporate world. But you get lot more satisfying and meaningful job. You get peace of mind and contentedness of doing something good. Choice is yours! Good Luck!
