Hi Sonali. Well it totally depends upon your interest and love for the subject to go ahead with. Taking into consideration the current scenario biotech is the upconing field with lots of scope and good job opportunities. If you take botany you can go for taxonomy, fungal associations as your subjext in Ph.D. whereas after biotech you can go for microbiology, biochemistry, cell biology, immunology etc. Ph.D. abroad is also a good choice but you need to work very hard as their it's all about practical. Male sure you have a strong base abd good clarity in thoughts. Then you can go anywhere to pursue your education. Best of luck.

The decision of selecting the optional is a personal choice of each aspirant according to his/her strengths and weakness. One final tip go ahead and select a subject which has been a part of your graduation. Hence choose wisely and prepare well. You can choose your subject on your interest and not on others advice, this is the main reason that the people select their optional subject in guidance of other and no interest in that. All the best!
