Hello,To enroll yourself for Ph.D. it is essential to appear in an entrance exam. You can also pursue Ph.D. by qualifying the National Eligibility Test. Yes, the UGC NET Exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency to select the candidates for the post of Assistant Professor and for the award of Junior Research Fellowship. So, if you don't want to appear in any entrance exam to pursue the Ph.D. then it is essential to qualify in NET, GATE etc.

BA is the degree for arts, if you are interested in political world then BA will be best option for you. If you want to groom your career more, then you can pursue master degree as MA. In your desirable subject. On the other hand, B.Com is completely related with the business, marketing and commerce sector financial sector. If you did arts in class 12th, then you might find BA. Easier, but if you did commerce in class 12 you would find B.Com easier.
