Both are different courses and having a different scope. Choose the career path of your interest that will help you in the future. If you have interest in computer fields then go for M.A. If you have interest in psychology, then go for M.A.

Eligible candidates need to appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the college.
Personal Interview:
Shortlisted candidates will be called for personal interview based on score obtained in CET.
Final Selection:
Candidates are selected based on CET score and performance in personal interview.

Yes, for this or any other PG course, the duration is invariably two years or four semesters.

Normally speaking, students are allowed to appear for entrance exam even if results of the qualifying exam is not announced. But the university has to wait for admission process till it declares results of the qualifying exam. If you are from different university then you may lose out if your university does not declare the results in time.
