There are many book as in MA English entrance exam. But, you have to be knowledgeable in history of English literature. The critical analysis. The postmodern theories. More over, the Shakespeare plays also plays a vital role in that kind of exams. For history of English literature, you can go for "Routledge history of English literature ". It is the best book for NET exam also. Best of luck.

The only way to improve your English is to read and write. Enhance your listening skill by watching Hollywood movies, so you became used to their accent. And for speaking skill, the only way is to be confident. If you have knowledge of English language, but you can't express it through your words that's all in vain. So, communication is really crucial in speaking English.

It depends on your personality, your speaking listening skills. Because, in foreign, the accent of English should be really good on the other hand you have to be master in language and literature of English.

BA in economics deals with other fields of economics, as in macro micro, so it is much tougher than BA. On the other hand, BA only offer little bit of economics, which is really less as compared to BA in economics.

It depends on cut off. Every college varies in their cut off, and that's the advantage for science student, because they can apply for arts stream as in political science hons. English hons. He can opt for language course also.
