The only main difference between them is their "area of study". This changes the career paths and job options for the postgrads.

An MA in Psychology studies the human mind, behavior, and patterns. The MA in Philosophy, on the other hand, studies the 'why' of existence, values, reason, mind, language, and more.

MA Psychology students work as  Mental Health Researchers, Rehabilitation Forensics, Counselors, Clinical Psychologists, Government Officials, Human Resource Specialists, and Social Workers, etc. And MA Philosophy students work as Professors, Lawyers, Consultants, Government Policy Analysts, Journalists, etc.

Well, you don't really need any skills to pursue an MA course. Just fulfill the eligibility requirements, and you're good to go. Most MA colleges require entrance exam scores, so you'd need that as well.

To succeed in your field, some abilities will help you -

  • Critical thinking
  • Basic technical skills
  • Writing & research skills

It's a completely personal choice. MA is a master 's-level degree and is not needed in every industry or job role. You can get decent job options with a BA degree or maybe a Diploma course.

Pursue an MA when you want to go for a research-based role or are planning to pursue higher studies like a PhD. An MA will definitely enhance your chances of getting paid higher, but not in every field.

You need to analyze your career goals and see if an MA degree fits.
