As far as I know, there are a lot of govt. colleges in Hyderabad whose fee structure is very low that any one can afford. JNTU is a very good govt. engineering college in Hyderabad. Its annual fees is around 10-20k. It's a good and reputed college with low fees.

Well, no one gets a fee concession for giving the entrance exam of NIFT. Firstly, you give the exam to get a rank on the basis of which you get the admission. And secondly, you can apply for scholarship which is given according to your financial condition. Scholarship provides a fee concession upto 50% of the fee as well.

Regarding placement, I would give a below average rating since only a handful IT companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, ITC Infotech comes to recruit only a handful students for actual engineering services. A HANDFUL (and that number usually don't cross 2 digits). Once they're done, the BPOs come and provide a very scanty package. Overall placement is done in pool recruitment for JIS group, so the competition is extremely fierce. TCS actually sets up a VERY HIGH cut-off in the aptitude round, and only a handful gets selected. While colleges like RCC picked 131/380, HIT - 510/800 etc for TCS, ours was perhaps 24/400(I'm no sure o
