I-20 form works as proof of the eligibility of the student to study and work in the country and is also important to apply for F-1 student visa. After the student gets accepted to the university, the university has two options of mailing the acceptance letter and I-20 form, either by regular overseas mail which takes around 4-6 weeks or by express mail which takes 3-5 days.
